2015 College Scholarship Opportunity (open to high school graduating seniors)
Since 1982, Paint Creek Center for the Arts has been nurturing aspiring young artists through its college scholarship program. We know the importance of a quality art education and our scholarships help students with the ever-rising cost of tuition. Open to graduating high school seniors who are planning to attend an accredited college majoring in a visual arts program. Six – $1000 scholarships are available to students from Oakland, Macomb and Wayne Counties and will be selected after a competitive review of digital images and support materials. Students need not be enrolled in classes at PCCA to be eligible.
2015 scholarship recipients will be invited to exhibit one of their works in PCCA’s Student & Faculty Exhibition from June 13 – July 24, 2015. Awards will be presented during the Student & Faculty Exhibition Opening Reception on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. The opening reception is free and open to the public, so please come out and show your support for our scholarship recipients.
One of the six scholarships is made possible through donations to the Mary McCarthy Anderson Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund pays tribute to Mary who was an attorney, an accomplished artist, devoted member of the Sisters of the Brush and a longtime student at Paint Creek Center for the Arts.
Five of the six scholarships are made possible through support from The Abrams Foundation.
