Call for Entertainment: 2022 Art & Apples Festival deadline

May 17, 2022

PCCA has opportunities for performances catering to large audiences of all ages!

Application deadline: Tuesday, May 17, 2022

Announcement of acceptance: Friday, June 17, 2022

  • Stage and audience: Rochester Municipal Park features a prominent timber band shell with a 750 sq. ft. cement stage facing a natural hill. PCCA arranges the main food court at the top of this hill to allow patrons in line to view shows, and arranges picnic tables across the hillside to create a natural audience for performers.
  • Preferred Performance Categories: The Art & Apples Festival attracts an average of 80,000 patrons across the three day weekend each year. Ideal entertainment acts are comfortable performing for large crowds, have stage presence, and are appropriate for all ages. PCCA prides itself on partnering with local performing arts groups, and encourages performers of all kinds to apply.
    • If you are a performer with a show specifically targeted to younger audiences (10 and under), PCCA may have special opportunities for you in our Kids Art Zone. Please include this in your application!
  • Fee for Performance: Paint Creek Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who organizes the Art & Apples Festival as their main fundraising event. While a budget exists for performance fees, it is limited, and PCCA does take the cost of each performance in to consideration when selecting the performance line up. Most of our entertainers perform at a discount or for free as a donation to Paint Creek Center for the Arts.
  • Sound Tech: PCCA hires an outside sound technician that must be used by all performers.
  • Sale of Merch: Sales of your CD, band t-shirts, stickers, etc., are permitted but must be limited and contained to one (1) 6′ table available to the left of the stage during your perforamnce. Performers are solely responsible for set up, tear down, staffing and cash handling at their merch table. PCCA is not able to provide staffing or assistance.  As a courtesy to other performers, sales of your items are expected to conclude with your performance. Please do not disrupt other performers with your merch sales.
  • Donation requests: The sale of other goods and requests for donations of any kind is strictly prohibited, unless directly approved in advance in writing by the PCCA Performer’s Liaison.
  • Acceptance: PCCA will email the Main Contact listed on the application with a confirmation of acceptance to perform and any additional details specific to your act.
  • Advertising & Announcements:
  • Your Stage/Group name will appear on this page, as well as in any additional Festival press regarding the specific line up of stage performances, as well as our printed Festival guide. To avoid confusing patrons, PCCA asks that performers NOT create their own Facebook events for their set time. PCCA will create it’s own OFFICIAL Facebook event for each day of the Festival with links and information to all performers for that day. A press kit will be provided with graphics to promote your participation as part of your acceptance.
