Each year Paint Creek Center for the Arts honors, acknowledges, and celebrates the talents of its teaching faculty and the consistent dedication and hard work of its students over the last twelve months by showcasing their creative work in a five-week public exhibtiion.
The 2019 Student & Faculty Exhibition included more than one hundred and thirty pieces, all created by Paint Creek Center for the Arts artists who were either enrolled in, or teaching classes during, the previous twelve months. Mediums included ceramic vessels and sculptures, drawings, fiber, mixed media, paintings, photographs, and jewelry- all representing the broad range of classes and workshops available here at Paint Creek Center for the Arts.
Also included in the exhibition were samples of the various tools students learned to use during their classes and utilized in the process of creating the work that was on display. As students progress, their mastery of these tools is increasingly evident. Moving through the gallery, patrons were encouraged to consider the time, effort, and skill required to create each of theses works of art.
